Choosing finalists for Best Band in NH contest
Posted by: Derek @ 1:20 AM
We apologize for the lack of updates recently, but it has been for GOOD reason. We have been scouting new bands for the Best Band In NH contest.
On Sunday we will launch a weeklong contest where you can listen to all the tracks that the finalists have sent us… and vote for… who you think…. the BEST BAND in New Hampshire is.
Ive been thinking it over more too, and myspace music now sucks. You can’t even search by location now and their really ISNT a good source to look for tons of local underground music yet. So we will strive to do that, and by Spring we will provide control panels to all bands to be able to create and maintain their material on our site up to the second, this means we will give them the ability upload new songs and blog and tons more.
Anyways, stay tuned Sunday and get your headphones ready.
Could Lackey help lead the sox to another Series title?
Posted by: Derek @ 1:05 AM
In case you (a) are not a sports fan; or (b) live in a cave and haven’t heard, Red Sox have signed star left handed pitcher John Lackey. Lackey formerly played for the Angels, who have been a postseason foe of late.
You have got to love that part of what drove him to sign with Boston was his wife Krista who attended UNH, and grew up in Maine. Red Sox nation with another great assist!
I feel that Lackey is what the Sox need to get to the next level. Look at the pitching… we add Lackey to starters like Beckett, Lester, and Matsuzaka. I don’t even care who the 5th is. If these guys stay healthy it could be another great season.
